The Lord of the Rings (10-Disc Collections)

Postby VicThomas4921 » Tue Jul 07, 2026 3:57 pm

I started working on these a few weeks ago, and they're almost finished. All that's really needed is some screencaps on the back, but I'm not sure which scenes would work best for each cover. Any reccommendations?

Personal use only - I abhor piracy. That's why I don't use barcodes on my covers.

Hi me again wondering if it would be OK to for you to send me full size PNGS the Front basically the whole package with the pictures separate from the text and if it could be PNG format kind of hard to put in words I would like instead to redo it and send it back to you to see what you think Is that a possibility. Hoping to hear from u If you wanna see my work just look for my avatar or click name on my avatar DAneRK

I appreciate your interest, but I feel I must respectfully decline. I prefer to keep my work as close to my own intentions, whenever possible.

Just curious, are the front images promotional shots or AI? Third one is giving the latter ngl.

As for the image, could always just use the images used on the back of the old DVDs: http://uncovered.name/coverart/displayimage.php?album=search&cat=0&pid=14124#top_display_media

I used Chat GPT to make those, since I wanted something a little more fresh but still consistent with each film. The hardest of the three was Edoras for "The Two Towers" - I submitted a promotional still to use as a foundation. It took a few tries though, for the software to understand what I was trying to mimic. You really do have to write prompts like you're speaking to either an infant or Mr. Spock, it's so insanely literal.

My whole point was trying to break free of the usual style, except for the essentials. So I'll probably end up using up to six screencaps on the back of each cover, unless it appears too crowded.

Hmm tbf, I'd recommend just using artwork made for the films or LOTR in general. AI generated images just give off ehh vibes for covers, especially ones with so much effort put into them.

Three or four screencaps could fit quite nicely on the back.
