With 12 Hours remaining before the submission deadline, I have a folder here with nearly two dozen Outstanding front covers.

Has the Championship-winning entry already been received, or is one of the remaining artists about to send in the design that will win custom cover immortality?

As someone who had little trouble choosing a personal Top 3 in past competitions, the one word that comes to mind this year is "Wow."

24 Designers from 9 Custom Cover Sites took the "Best of the Best" sales pitch and made it true.

The covers are now in our judges' hands. A preview is coming Wednesday, the public vote starts Thursday, and, come next Monday, one designer will be able to claim the very hard-earned title of Cover Site Battle Royal Champion!

I have finished my placements. It was truly hard to do as well.
First of all I would like to congratulate all the entrants for making it almost impossible for me to place the covers they designed in an order I was happy with.
For five days I went over them time and time again, looking closer, re-ordering until I was happy with my choices. I ended up fretting over the positions of the first 10, and just like any project one embarks on, one is never totally comfortable with the final result due to the disappointment the choices one makes will have on those who worked so hard. But at some point one has to say that it is finished.

There were too many that could have finished in the first three but unfortunately only three can do so.
Well done to all of the designers - you are braver than I will ever be, and way more talented. I agree completely with fsurfer's final remarks, Thank you.

I have to say the quality of this years entries are absolutely fantastic, I found it so difficult as they are all so good. I completely agree with what the guys have been saying.

I am truly grateful to have been able to be a judge, I honestly feel that everyone who entered is a winner and wish them all the best of luck.

I look forward to seeing the results.

No doubt it is a VERY tough thing to be a judge and I can only imagine the pressure you feel, kudos for doing it.

As Vincent said to me before deciding to represent Uncovered again, it doesn't matter where you finish, last, first, in between, what matters is representing a site and doing the best you can do for that site, with no results in yet I am happy with what I have done, to be honest I can't see it getting a "good finish" but I'm proud I did the best I could for the site and for Vincent.

Judges, not only do you judge but you open yourselves up to be judged, which of course happens so thank you for standing up and doing that job, without you there would be no comp.
Now I hope you gave me a good result so I don't have to judge you!... ;)

The two designers have been emailed to decide if they are willing to be co-champions or would like to break the tie.
There will likely not be an announcement until tomorrow.

The designers had the choice between being Co-Champions or having a new public poll of the two finalists decide the champion.

Scores and comments cannot begin to describe how incredibly enthusiastically this year’s judges enjoyed the designs. With such high quality across the board and no spine or back designs to help them decide, most found the process joyously exhausting. Proving this point, the Top 3 designs were separated by a single point, including a tie for 1st!

Congratulations to Uncovered on a great showing this year!

In particular, my friend M0vieM0nster put forth another in a long tradition of outstanding, underrated competition entries.

Alongside Italian Custom Cover, this site really stood out as producing three of the most unique, interesting entries in the competition. And that's fitting of this site itself, very strong and individual.

Congratulations also to the judges, among those who treat the designs with the very utmost honor and care.
