How's it going fellow film and media appreciators. I'm Ry. I found y'all because I've begun a new 4k UHD collection. I recently moved into a new place and have more room and was able to upgrade my viewing set up. I retired my 2013 TV and got some new speakers. I had bought the bulk of my physical disc collection during the "DVD" era. I then forced myself to only buy films I didn't already have on DVD. So I've filled some gaps in with some blu-rays, but most of my "greats" remained on DVD. So, now finally, I'm able to refresh my older movies to UHD. Unfortunately, it seems like manufacturers aren't putting a ton of care into the packaging these days, unless you pony up for the steelbooks. I am buying a lot of bundled collections to make up lost time. Some come in crappy cardboard sleeves where you must pinch the disc to remove it. Or in some instances, there will be a loose info sheet folded over the top and rear of the packaging and has all the useful info you may want to know at a glance. These seem like cost-cutting shortcuts to me and I want to upgrade my packaging with hard cases and proper rear info sheets. That's how I came upon this site.

As far as other sites go, I haven't really had the need for better covers until now. But I have been a part of other semi-related communities. In the past, I was part of the DVD Aficionado site that cataloged your collection. Really miss that site. I also am around the subtitlesdl.org site. I hope that qualifies as a worthy intro, but lemme know if anything else is required. If you'd like to talk or discuss more about gear and such I'm still working out some kinks with my stuff. Thanks!
