I want to make a custom cover for a 14mm Amaray blu-ray case but I'm having some trouble.

According to my measurements the cover needs to be 272x149mm but which pixel dimension should I use?

Some say 3206x1762 while others say 3173x1762

Also what is the pixel width for the spine? Is that 170px or a different size?

In your case 170px for the spine. For all case sizes see here. Don't forget the template you use must be set at 300dpi. If you are using photoshop we have premade templates you can request in the resources forum.

If your not talking about pixels here and just to make a cover fit a 14mm case, the cover needs to be 27cm x15cm.. or 270mm x 150mm. you can do this in photoshop by creating a new file/document

davey1076 if wanting to upload here you need to be talking about pixels as well. There is 2 settings for a new document . Document size and pixel diamentions.
There is a correlation between both at a reolution of 300dpi which is required to upload here.

We use pixel size for templates as at 300dpi the pixel diamentions automatically sets the document size correctly. The link I posted also gives pixel size for the popular different cases.

I tried it with a 3206x1762 cover (spine 170px) but imo it's a bit short on the sides when putting it in my case.

On the internet they say 1mm = 3.779px

Would it fit correctly if I translate the size in mm to the amount of pixels? For a 272x149mm cover it would be 1028x563 which I could multiply with a factor 3 so it would become 3084x1689 pixels. The 14mm spine would be 159px.

Would that work?

What are you using to create your covers Photoshop or something else?
