Blu-ray Cover Spine Question

Postby acciojay » Tue Jun 28, 2016 1:30 am

So I'm scanning some bluray/dvd covers and all is well with that in terms of scanning/editing but I want to upload them but for a specific Blu-ray, the case is an 11mm Vortex Case, and it is on the size list in the upload guides but is not available to select in the options for uploading, any reason why?

Are we not allowed to upload 11mm spine covers? :confused

(I hope I am not asking a question that doesn't belong in this thread)

The correct spine size for a 11mm case, for the printed insert is 10mm, the insert is always slightly smaller (typically about 1mm) than the physical case size.

The case is measured on the outside for max width at the top and the bottom which if you look close is sightly wider than the spine plus the insert goes under the plastic.

It's kind of a trivial thing anyway as 1mm is only 0.04 of and inch barely measurable and most people can't even cut a line that straight. :LOL

Oh okay, so, basically I would just upload as 10mm? I used the 11m dimensions (3173 x 1762 & spine:127) from the list.
Sorry if I'm asking a stupid question lol but just want to be 100% before uploading it.

And thank you for answering, btw!

Yes that's correct, you will be fine :)

It's not stupid, it's always been confusing for most everyone at least in the beginning.
