iZombie is an American television series developed by Rob Thomas and Diane Ruggiero-Wright for The CW; it is a loose adaptation of the comic book series of the same name created by Chris Roberson and Michael Allred, and published by DC Comics under their Vertigo imprint.
The series was officially picked up on May 8, 2014, for the 2014–15 season and premiered on March 17, 2015 with an order of 13 episodes. The series was renewed for a second season, which premiered October 6, 2015 and comprised 19 episodes. On March 11, 2016, The CW renewed the series for a third season.
Series synopsis ~
Olivia "Liv" Moore had everything a successful woman could want: Her mother and brother supported her dreams, she was a well-liked medical resident and she had a kind and handsome fiance. Yet, nothing lasts forever. During a boat party, her life changed so drastically that those who love her barely recognize her anymore. Her secret? Crazy, seemingly drug-induced attacks during the party resulted in Liv waking up in a body bag. Now, as a zombie, she relies on a job with the medical examiner for her food and uses memories absorbed from human brains to help the police solve crimes.
