Have seen eight episodes of this series, i wanted to stop after seeing the third episode but i gave it a chance to improve, what didn't happen. :-(

IMO this is a poor serie guys, poor acting, very thin storyline, bad special effect.

I'm sorry Pico but I beg to differ.

OK I accept the SFX are a bit lame especially when it shows the ship in FLT but the storyline seems solid. I've just finished binge watching the first 11 episides and am looking forward to the next.

It has a good cast and like most Canadian SciFi takes a few episodes before it gets you hooked. Continuum is another example a lot gave up on that early and the only reason that's got a final short ending season (six eps, 4th sept start in Canada, 11th sept USA, UK to confirm yet) is those dedicated (self included) fans who pestered Shaw for a conclusion on social media, we actually wanted a full season. I can see the same being a possibility with Dark Matter.

Now I'm thinking I might have to have a look and see for myself.

Nah, she knows no-one will knock her off the top spot. :Evil

Just watched the last 2 episodes of Dark Matter. One hell of a twist. It's got to be renewed for a second season.

Had an idea this would happen.

"NEW YORK – September 1, 2015 – Syfy announced today that popular drama series Dark Matter has been renewed for a 13-episode second season, set to premiere on the network in 2016. The series, produced by Prodigy Pictures, follows six people who wake up on a derelict spaceship with no memories of who they are or how they got on board, averaged 1.8 million viewers in its first season on Syfy.*

“With its mysterious premise and fascinating characters, Dark Matter has built an incredibly loyal, passionate and engaged fan base,” said Chris Regina, Senior Vice President, Program Strategy, Syfy. “We look forward to another out-of-the-world season from this talented creative team.”

Created by Joseph Mallozzi and Paul Mullie, executive producers and writers of the Stargate franchise, and developed with Prodigy Pictures (Lost Girl), Dark Matter is based on Mallozzi and Mullie’s graphic novel of the same name, published by Dark Horse Comics. The series features Melissa O’Neil, Marc Bendavid, Anthony Lemke, Alex Mallari Jr. and Jodelle Ferland with Roger Cross and Zoie Palmer.

Executive producers are Jay Firestone, Joseph Mallozzi, Paul Mullie and Vanessa Piazza."

Season 3 premieres Friday, June 9 at 8/7c on Syfy & Space and kicks of with back to back episodes 1 & 2.
"Forget winter, war is coming to the Dark Matter universe, at least according to this second full trailer from Syfy. And while everything we’ve seen so far in trailers and clips points to a war between Four/Ryo and his former crew mates, that might not be all. We learned at the end of season 2 that the new Emperor has plans to destabilize the uneasy atmosphere between the mega-corps.

War Is Coming in This 2nd Dark Matter Full TrailerRyo’s plans are to get all the corporate behemoths fighting among themselves while he sits back and waits to see who wins. Then he’ll attempt to take advantage of the battle-weakened victor and rule ALL THE THINGS! It’s a pretty clever plan in theory, but in practice it’s messy and will get a lot of innocent people killed.

This is definitely not the Four we knew before. He was never a bright ray of sunshine, but he was a far cry from the homicidal and power-hungry despot he’s seemed to become. All those bad memories have really turned him back into what he was before, and that ain’t good.

Hopefully, in the clip where Two says they need to kill Ishida Ryo, she’s got a plan to remove his old memories and restore our loving, scowling swordmaster. But knowing Two, she won’t hesitate to quite literally kill the man if he doesn’t stop blowing up innocent people. I’d hate to see Four/Ryo go, but he can’t be allowed to just run wild across the galaxy, and perhaps the multiverse. In the end, we may have to call Rick and Morty."
